So i took this song my friend Emmi recorded into a Macbook microphone, spruced it up and ended up with this.
What is possible using digital signal processing nowadays still astounds me.

there's copyright issues, it's a mazzy star cover. however, we are working on trying to do something legit. on the other hand, cover songs are kind of dope.

That was some future funk shit!
I would work on the mix, specifically the kick sounds...they are a little muddy. Maybe layer them up with a punchy kick, compress and eq to taste. Then blend the drums a little bit more. The hats and tambos stand out a bit more than the kick and they don't quite sit together yet in the mix.
Concept wise? DOPE.

good criticism. that's why we're here! i spent most of the time getting the vocal on tempo and sitting right. the mix was quick, but i'll send dumps because i know you'll make it sound better hot...
